  • 1/2 teaspoon of dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper

For the filling:

  • 1 1/2 pounds of skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 large onion
  • 3 medium bell peppers (any color)
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons of lime juice
  • 6-8 pita pockets

Step 1: Prepare

Gather all of the ingredients you need for this recipe and preheat your oven to 425F. In the meantime, coat a baking sheet with some of your non-stick cooking spray, ready for your filling to go onto.

Step 2: Make the filling

Grab a bowl and add the salt, pepper, chili powder, garlic powder, paprika, cumin and dried oregano. Combine until the ingredients are mixed together well. Leave to one side. Prepare the chicken by cutting into strips that are around 3/4″ long. Once the chicken is cut, do the same with the onion and the bell peppers and place them all onto your prepared baking sheet. Now drizzle your olive oil over the chicken and veggies and toss to ensure it’s evenly coated. Now add your spice blend over the chicken and veggies, again, ensuring each piece is completely coated.
